It was all airy simplicity and girlish sophistication at United Bamboo: cotton shift dresses in bold solids like pink and green, some with pintucked necklines, some with pleats; light, boxy jackets with 3/4-length sleeves; a twisty chiffon cocktail dress in cobalt blue and a bolder knee-length one in multi-hued brushstokes.

It’s the kind of minimalist stuff meant to be worn with little-to-no ornamentation – akin to the kind of deceptively easy, incredibly-well cut stuff found at A.P.C.: youthful exuberance done quietly.
