Wayne is definitely part of that young, hip posse of designers that believes in short, body-baring and black.

Accordingly, the spring collection, shown at a photo studio in the Starett-Lehigh building, was somewhat familiar. Leggings? Yep. Crop top and cut-out dresses? Seen it before. Fanny pack as a belly bag? Of course. Lots of black? Come on.

The look was minimalist and well styled, particularly the use of skinny leather belts on waists, shoulders, arms and necks. The hot shots of yellow and day-glow green were welcome. The sheer geometric mesh leggings were inspired, but not necessarily wearable. The draped matte jersey dresses were skilfully done, which gives us lots of hope for the future.
