What not to hair
This hair trend won’t be bowling over anybody.
As the fashion world continues to hit up the 1970s for inspiration in the form of flowing Bohemian blouses and wide-leg trousers, boldfacers such as Jennifer Love Hewitt, Mary J. Blige and Mena Suvari have taken a dubious page out of the decade’s signature looks with their hair.
The cut of choice? The Bowl Bang.
The trio are channeling a hybrid of the period’s biggest hair icons — Chrissy Snow of “Three’s Company” and Olympic ice skater Dorothy Hamill.
Their stylists have cut a heavy, brow-grazing, straight fringe, which is rounded at the sides like every child’s most embarrassing kindergarten class portrait.
