Natalie Portman’s line of vegan shoes for Te Casan launched today.

And while I am a proud vegetarian-tree-hugging-animal lover, at $275 these shoes are ridiculously over-priced. And their not terribly interesting either.

Her quote on the site reads, “As a vegan, it’s been challenging finding designer shoes made of alternative materials. This collection offers a great selection without compromising quality or style.”

It seems what is really challenging is finding stylish vegan clothes, bags and shoes that aren’t crazy expensive. I mean, it’s not like they’re made out of Italian truffles.
