Givenchy had a host of spectacular iterations of the knapsack for fall. Some were extreme (yet still chic), depicting screaming monkeys, roosters and the Oriental rug-like pattern that served as the gorgeous voodoo-inspired collection’s motif.

But the simplest (and most wearable) all-black military-inspired Rider bag stands apart from the others in its purity of design and functionality. Made from the supplest leather, it’s designer Riccardo Tisci’s favorite. “It’s the bag of the season,” he says.
