Y-3 SHOW
The Hunter College Gym never looked so good.
Wednesday night, Y-3 took over the space turning the basketball court and sidelines in to a mechanical runway and packing the bleachers full with celebs like French soccer hottie Zidane, hip, fashion show-hopping brothers Russell Simmons and Rev. Run, Nick Canon, Cuba Gooding, Jr., Leelee Sobieski and sociaites Fabiola Beracasa and Tinsley Mortimer.
The clothes were cool enough– long, loose sweater dresses with Adidas stripes, tweed and knit miniskirts and a smattering of nylon parachute pants for girls and sweatshirts with net hoods, shiny silver kicks and hooded, striped parkas emblazoned with the Y-3 logo for men.
But, it was really all about the accessories.
From knee high red patent leather boots to big, black rasta hats, sporty stripper sneakers with lucite wedge heels and the very fab oversized striped shawls — some with attached mittens — were show highlights. Knit, wooly legwarmers and handbags like the black, nylon padded bag and the textured totes were also the perfect fit for the sexy yet sporty collection.
