The Yigal Azrouël show is always one to look out for each season in order to pinpoint what the downtown darlings will be coveting.

This season, Yigal seemed to be on target with his inspiration — Françoise Hardy, a French singer and fashion icon. From beginning to end, there was a nonchalant and unassuming yet strong aesthetic.

A somewhat soothing earthy color palette of red oak, evergreen, midnight and ashphalt was showcased in varying rich textures of fur, lambskin, jacquard and wool. There was even python print silk chiffon in lengthy silhouettes, which you might picture a young galleriest wearing while hosting an opening with her stylish friends — friends who you, of course, would see wearing these pieces too.
