But for spring, Yigal Azrouel took the aphorism “form follows function” and served up a collection that again begged the question, “Can I have it all?” The form: structural lines and sharp tailoring balanced with cool geo prints and delicate fabrics. The function: fashion, of course.

There were plenty Yigalian staples on view: the drawstring sweatpants, the leathers, the color-blocking–none of which ventured outside the proverbial box. But when wearable and sellable are the cornerstones of business, that’s precisely as it should be.
