A flawless vivid purple-pink diamond ring is expected to be sold for up to $38 million when it goes under the hammer in Hong Kong, the auction house Christie’s said on Thursday, May 6.

The 15.81 carat Sakura Diamond will be the star of Christie’s Hong Kong’s Magnificent Jewels sale on May 23.

Estimated to sell for between $25-38 million dollars, the diamond is the largest of its kind to be auctioned.
