Almayass, a Lebanese-Armenian restaurant that launched in 2012 as an outpost of its Beirut flagship, is opening a new lounge with a separate entrance, at 24 West 21st St.

The Mezze Lounge at Almayass opens this week. The 850 square-foot space will have 34 seats, including the bar.

While Almayass serves large, family-style dishes, the lounge will exclusively offer mezze tastings for two featuring 14 to 17 small, Instagram-worthy hot and cold dishes served simultaneously — for $29 or $39 per person.

Mezze dishes include mantee, Armenian dumplings; and mouhammara, a spicy spread with crushed walnut, red pepper paste and pomegranate molasses.

The menu also offers traditional Lebanese wines.

The decor, from Almayass matriarch Rita Alexandrian, features red wooden boxes created by local Armenian artists.
