Breakfast is the most important meal of the day — and it’s also the hottest.

Everywhere from fast-food joints to fine dining restaurants to supermarkets are determined to takee on breakfast and brunch in 2024, Axios reported.

Breakfast has become the new lunch in recent years as people started to eat earlier in the day during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thanks to inflation and higher food prices, as well as fears of a recession, breakfast is anticipated to be a budget-friendly treat over lunch with more reasonable prices, Technomic, a food industry consultancy, predicted for 2024.

Burger King is just one fast-food chain taking advantage of 2024’s hottest meal.

In honor of National Croissant Day, BK will be selling their croissant breakfast sandwiches for just a penny on Jan. 30 only.
