Long and green does the trick.

Chloe Ellen, also known as @chloeellenmua on TikTok, claims that eating a cucumber prevents hangovers.

“Eat half a cucumber before you start drinking and another half before bed and thank me later,” Ellen says in a March clip with over 1.9 million views.

In the 11-second TikTok, the beauty brand owner eats half of a cucumber before she goes out for a long night of drinking.

“The best hack!” Ellen captioned the viral clip.

“Cucumbers are also a good source of sugar, vitamin B and electrolytes so you’d probably feel a little better with a cucumber,” she added in the video comments section.

Ellen’s unique routine has many people ready to chomp down on a cucumber.

“At this point I’ll try anything to prevent a hangover…. Runs to Tesco to buy cucumbers,” wrote one watcher.

Ellen replied, “Honestly it’s a life saver! I do it all the time now.”

“Been doing this for the last 2 years and it [works] fab,” agreed a TikToker.

However, some people disagree with the cucumber hack.

“Sorry but a cucumber after a night out is not for me… greasy kebab and cheesy chips is the one,” suggested one viewer.

“Ain’t no cucumbers saving me the way I can drink,” declared an alcohol enthusiast.

“I would be throwing that up before and after girl,” joked another.

Another remedy garnering praise is the anti-hangover omelet breakfast — three eggs cooked any way with mushrooms, tomatoes, avocado, and feta.

While some claim an omelet breakfast or a cucumber helps ease their painful morning after drinking, there are some remedies that people insist are a bust — such as IV treatments.

As previously reported by The Post, little scientific evidence supports the claims that IV treatments should be the go-to for hangovers.

Dr. Fu Chen — head of research and development at More Labs in the Los Angeles area — points out that “the best way to deal with next morning’s symptoms is to prevent them from happening in the first place.”
