One person was hurt when the top of an outdoor dining structure at a Tribeca restaurant blew off amid strong winds, fire officials said.
Firefighters responded to celebrity haunt The Odeon on West Broadway near Thomas Street minutes before 9 p.m. Monday, after receiving reports of material blowing off the outdoor dining structure, the FDNY said.
Video posted to Citizen late Monday shows firefighters at the scene, where the entire canopy portion of the shed appears to have blown off.
One civilian was hurt and treated on scene. The FDNY did not provide information on the extent of their injuries.
Actress Lena Dunham is such a fan of the restaurant that she had its logo tattooed on her backside, she said in 2017.
“On my butt, I have a snake wrapped around the moon,” she revealed. “I also have a sign for The Odeon, which is my favorite restaurant in Tribeca.”

Writer Jay McInerney was a regular, and he turned The Odeon into a supporting character in his debut novel, “Bright Lights, Big City.”
