Tres Carnes will see that it is by delivering a whole pig, complete with an apple in its mouth, anywhere in Manhattan, according to Stathis Antonakopoulos, director of operations.
The pigs range from 17 pounds to 30 pounds, with the average around 25 pounds. The starting price is $120.
Another option: football-shaped “super bowls,” for five to seven people, priced at $49 with your choice of meats and fillings.
Tres Carnes, which has locations in the Flatiron district, Midtown East, Turtle Bay and Garden City, is also looking to open in Midtown and on the Upper East and West sides.
We Hear … Greek Eats, from Niko and Gerie Karaiskos, formerly of Pylos, with Chef Peter Tsaglis as consulting chef, is opening on the Upper East Side at 1229 First Ave. The 650 square-foot eatery seats 30 diners and was designed by Emily Arden Wells of Move Matter Architecture.
The menu is a mix of family recipes and modernized Greek classic dishes, all under $15. Fun dishes include zucchini croquettes with mint, onion and feta and a mint/lemon yogurt dipping sauce.
