This mom and her daughter are lucky their huge, furry picnic guest looks more interested in eating the grapes and apples than in feasting on them.

The woman, a model known as Irina, and her daughter, Katya, posed for this pastoral picture in Moscow recently along with a trained acting bear named Stepan.

Stepan has a gentle nature, in large part because he has never been given meat, and instead likes to carbo-load, said the photographer who took the picture.

“Stepan doesn’t know the taste of meat — he loves mozzarella and cookies. He is in constant communication with people and knows what kindness and care are,” photographer Olga Barantseva told the Caters News Agency.

“The bear is a real and professional actor, and he got used to the work like this,” the photographer added. “Even a small girl, after a short time of hesitation, was happy to pose together with the huge bear.”
