As to be expected, the Blue Moon Burger Bash is always a fierce competition to find out whose patty reigns supreme. Here’s a look at some of the ways restaurants were trying to get people to vote for them:

* Rare Bar & Grill doled out free cocktail tickets to get people to vote for their strip and sirloin burger wrapped in apple smoked bacon, topped with shallots and cheddar.

* Bill’s Bar and Burger had free burger-shaped plush toys at its station.

* Rub BBQ and Spike Mendelsohn enlisted helpers to hold up signs — the barbecue joint played off its name by using catchy phrases like “Rub you long time” and “Eat pray rub,” while Mendelsohn kept it simple with pretty ladies in short skirts.

* Perennial favorite Shake Shack didn’t hand out coupons for free custard like they did last year, opting instead to serve their delicious apple pie custard with walnut brittle sprinkled on top.
