Affordable, healthful, charitable and sublime — all four adjectives describe Le Bernardin’s three-course City Harvest lunch menu. (155 W. 51st St.; 212-554-1515).

Served in the lounge, the $49 minifeast makes a fine introduction to this great restaurant, which just retained its three Michelin stars and was again rated No. 1 for food in the city by the 2016 Zagat Survey.

The menu changes weekly. Dishes are fully realized, scaled-down (not miniature) versions of those on chef/owner Eric Ripert’s regular lunch and dinner prix fixe menus ($80 and $140 respectively). The restaurant donates $5 of each check to City Harvest, a nonprofit that provides “rescue food” to the needy.

A recent week’s menu included sea scallop with shaved fennel in citrus vinaigrette; sauteed merluza (a flaky, cod-like fish) with pea shoots and shiitake mushroom broth, or striped bass with sweet potato and sofrito.

Harvest the pleasure now.
