Oscar-winning actress and Goop founder Gwyneth Paltrow and tennis great Serena Williams have invested in Daily Harvest, a Big Apple-based online subscription service that ships frozen “superfoods” used for single-serve smoothies, soups, overnight oats and chia puddings, said Rachel Drori, the company’s founder and chief executive.

Daily Harvest has 23 flavor combinations. At home, folks take one of the single serve cups out of the freezer, add a liquid of their choice and then blend, heat or soak the combo.

For other options, OurHarvest, an online farmer’s market, ships fresh, unfrozen food — and donates a meal to a food bank or food pantry for every order over $25, says founder Michael Winik.
