Weather forecasting has gone to the dogs.

As a weather system was preparing to unleash 50-mph winds on Ohio and Pennsylvania this week, forecasters issued a tongue-in-cheek warning to pet owners.

“Hold on to your Pooch!…We have an unofficial ‘Small Dog Warning’ Wind Advisory for northern #Ohio and NW #Pennsylvania this evening through Wednesday. Wind gusts 45 to 50 mph! A few trees may be blown down. Scattered power outages possible,” the Cleveland branch of the National Weather Service tweeted on Monday along with a photo of a dog flying in the wind.

The NWS also warned the wind could cause power outages, blow lids off trash cans and knock down trees.
