A person shared the hilarious way their aunt got revenge 30 years after they gifted her a savage 40th birthday card.

Reddit user Brutz616 posted a photo of the sweet birthday card they received from their aunt to celebrate the big 4-0.

The card had a sweet inscription about finding your place in the world.

However, their aunt decided to get back at them for poking fun at her when she herself turned 40.

“My aunt regifted me a birthday card I gave her 30 years ago,” the person explained on Reddit.

The photo showed that the aunt had taped the same card that she had been given that reads “Lordy, Lordy, Look who 40ed.”

“Right back at ya! Lol,” their aunt added.

Fellow Reddit users found the card hilarious and added to the fun with their thoughts about how she may have plotted her revenge over time.

“I like to imagine her, for the last 29 birthdays, devilishly smirking and thinking, ‘One year closer … ‘” someone commented.

“I like to think she was marking each day off on the calendar … ‘One day closer … you little s–t,'” another added.

“I imagine her packing up for a move or doing general decluttering several times during those years, ripping that card out of someone’s hand that wants to throw it away with a, ‘NO! I have a plan for that one!'” someone else wrote.
