The debate about “pretty privilege” is getting ugly.
A New York City woman believes there are downsides to being unbelievably attractive, saying she’s subjected to scowls, cruel comments and exclusion because of her good looks.
Brenttany Sharraine took to TikTok to hit back at “pretty privilege” — the idea that hot women have life super easy simply because of how they look.
“I don’t know if this is pretty privilege, but this is my insight,” Sharraine captioned her clip — which has resurfaced on social media this week, going viral and clocking up almost 850,000 views.
“Yes, I do get a lot of stares, and I get a lot of compliments, too,” the beauty admitted in her video before stating: “Some people gaze, [but] some people scowl at me.”

The stunning TikToker — who works as a motivational speaker — claimed that it’s always her fellow females who give her dirty looks when they pass her by.
“People who scowl at me are usually women,” she declared. “I have never in my life noticed a man scowling at me, so that says a lot.”
Sharraine added that other women have also told her that she comes across as “very intimidating, although I’m not mean at all to people.”
“I’ve been told by women that they thought I was a bitch when they first met me,” she said, listing the potential perils of pretty privilege. “I’ve [also] been excluded out of friend groups, even if I created the friend group.”

“I’ve been told by men that they thought I looked ‘expensive,’ even though I never have on anything expensive,” Sharraine said.
However, it’s not just jealous women who treat Sharraine poorly. The beauty says she has also had a hard time at the hands of men.
“I’ve been invited to events and meetings with business partners… I’m aware now as a woman in her late 20s that I’ve been used as a trophy before,” she declared.
Sharraine also claimed that her paramours eagerly introduced her to their friends and families soon after they started dating — a move that also implied that they saw her as their trophy.

Sharraine has disabled comments on her viral video, perhaps anticipating backlash for her views.
However, she’s not the first good-looking lady to bemoan “pretty privilege.” Stunning TikToker Olivia Paulsen made waves when she claimed that she’s often called a “bitch” simply for being hot.
On the other hand, a slew of stunners say there are nothing but benefits to being really, really good-looking, with one beauty boasting that they were treated to drinks, Uber rides, surf lessons and $500 tickets to Lollapalooza all free of charge.

Meanwhile, another content creator recently claimed she’s “too pretty to work.”
“Does it look like I want to get up at 6 a.m. every f – – king day for the next 60 years?” the woman sassily snapped, declaring that her good looks should afford her a life of leisure.
