Is it a toy? Is it a discarded water heater? Is it a robot?

An adorable video of a little girl mistaking a household boiler for a robot has notched up more than 600,000 views on YouTube. The heater had been dumped near the sidewalk of her suburban neighborhood.

The toddler goes up to the machine — which appears to have two big eyes — repeatedly saying, “Hi, wobot.” She then gives it a warm hug and twice declares: “I wuv you, robot!”

The tyke, named Rayna, is clearly delighted with her new space-age friend. As for the “robot,” it surely enjoyed the extra attention before being picked up by the garbage men.
