Lindsay Lohan is off the market. Though her camp denies it, the 29-year-old’s friends — and that 5-carat emerald ring she’s sporting — say the engagement is official.
So who’s the lucky guy?
Meet 22-year-old Egor Tarabasov. Unlike his spotlight-seeking love, the hunky Russian seems to prefer flying under the radar, with a social media account on lockdown and a London-based real estate business with no working Web site. Though known to run with a wealthy crowd of other Russian émigrés, this seems to be Tarabasov’s first foray into dating a household name.
Raised primarily in Moscow — his LinkedIn profile says he last attended the Anglo-American School of Moscow — Tarabasov also lists himself as director of investment-management company Tas Capital Ltd., another company with limited public information. His father, Dmitry Tarabasov, owns a construction firm and a chain of big-box building-supply retailers, but insiders say he’s not quite a billionaire. “His father is a wealthy man . . . but he’s no oligarch,” a source told Page Six in March.
And while Tarabasov may seem shy on social media, Lohan seems to do enough sharing for both of them. Not only is she happy to post photos of her boyfriend’s impressive abs on her Instagram account, she’s also happy to spill details, including the fact that the two of them have been together since last summer. Since then, her quality of life seems vastly improved. The couple have gone on jaunts to Costa Rica and Gstaad, Switzerland, and recently moved into a London flat together.
Tarabasov has since been introduced to the entire Lohan clan, and Lindsay’s dad, Michael, has given him an enthusiastic two thumbs up. “He’s not a good influence, he’s a great influence,” Lohan told Page Six last month.
Less clear is what Tarabasov’s family thinks of her. Page Six reported that his family isn’t thrilled with the sudden media attention that’s followed in Lohan’s wake. And one thing’s for sure: If and when they do tie the knot, there’s going to be headlines.
