Who says these dogs are ugly?!

Hopefully everyone has a soft spot in their hearts for these mangy mutts, seeking the title of World’s Ugliest Dog later this week at the Sonoma-Marin Fair in Petaluma, Calif.

The 27th annual contest brings a wide, weird variety of canines, who often lack a complete coat of fur, have bad teeth or come in unusual shapes.

Sarah Cummings, CEO of the contest, said the competition is meant to be in good fun in hopes of showing that all pooches are worthy being loved and adopted.

“We celebrate the spirit and imperfections that make these dogs lovable and adoptable,” Cummings said.
