A Melbourne-based travel blogger says she created a fake pregnancy bump before a flight to hide some of her carry-on luggage and avoid an excess baggage fee, according to a report.

Rebecca Andrews said she devised the scheme to get around paying a $60 charge for her overweight luggage at Sydney Airport, CNN reported on Tuesday.

“I have a small frame and decided pretending to be preggo was the most believable route to a successful hack,” Andrews told the outlet.

To pull off the stunt, she stuffed some clothes, chargers and a laptop in her jumpsuit before a Jetstar flight, the outlet reported. She then put on several layers over the bump and successfully went through airport security.

But while boarding the flight, a flight attendant noticed the laptop sticking out of her jacket and foiled her scheme, according to the report.

“Was I embarrassed? Not at all,” Andrew told CNN. “I felt like a bad ass. A hot pregnant badass.”
