It has been years since the now-shuttered Picholine dominated the Upper West Side’s dining world.
Now the space, across from Lincoln Center at 35 West 64th St., finally has a Michelin-starred successor: Sushi Inoue, which specializes in handmade sushi and omakase menus.
This will be Nagasaki-native sushi chef Shinichi Inoue’s second location.
The original location, at 381 Lenox Ave., became the first Harlem-based restaurant to earn a Michelin star in 2017.
The new, 3,800-square-foot space seats 150 people on the main floor, has a 2,400-square-foot lower level and is currently undergoing a gut renovation.
Both the tenant and landlord, Astoria Realty, were repped by Winick Realty Group president Steven Baker, Charles Rapuano, Joshua Siegelman and Michael Shkreli.
“Their concept will be a great amenity for the neighborhood’s residents and office workers, and an exciting new pre- and post-show dining option for Lincoln Center patrons,” Shkreli said.
