A young mom has revealed she gave birth to a baby daughter on Christmas Day — and was back home having her festive dinner just hours later.
Angel Musgrove’s daughter Elsie had been expected on Christmas Eve but was born during the early hours of December 25.
Elsie was born at West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St. Edmunds, England, at 3:07 a.m. and weighed a healthy 7 pounds, 15 ounces.
Musgrove, 20, was discharged home that evening having given birth to her first child.

Courtesy Angel Musgrove / SWNSNineteen hours later, she managed to make it to her mom’s home in Bury St. Edmunds, where a Christmas dinner was waiting for her and her partner, Zach Shawcross, 23.
The new mom — whose own birthday falls less than 10 days before her daughter’s, on December 16 — admitted it was the best Christmas dinner she’s ever eaten, and the first proper meal she or her partner had eaten in three days.
The dinner more than made up for her struggles on Christmas Eve — all of which she spent in labor.

“I was in labor all throughout Christmas Eve and Elsie was born in the early hours of Christmas morning.
“It’s been quite amazing, to be honest.
“It’s a really weird sensation to go through the chaos of labor and then suddenly you bring her home and it’s silent and peaceful.

“Elsie is my first baby and she is absolutely the best Christmas present I could have wished for.”
Musgrove said her daughter’s name relates to the initials of her partner’s grandmother — L.C.
Despite getting back to enjoy their dinners, they didn’t sit down to eat until past 10 p.m.

“Mom saved us a dinner — it was ready and heated when we got to hers.
“We were eating at between 10 and [10:30].

“Over the three days before Elsie was born, I don’t think me or her dad slept more than four hours a night.
“It was the first proper meal we had eaten since I was induced.
“It was 100 percent my best Christmas dinner ever.”
Both baby and mom are home at Woodbridge, England, and are doing well.
Musgrove added that she would compensate for her daughter’s birthday being around the festive period by getting her presents in the summer as well.
