A woman says her rescue dog ate five pairs of Skims underwear — leaving her $13,000 out of pocket.
Sarah Oakley, 34, adopted Reta, a terrier mix, from dog shelter Harley’s Dream in January 2025.
Three months later she came home and saw the pup lying on top of a dirty clothes pile — and her underwear was missing.
Initially, Sarah hoped that Reta would throw it up, but after 24 hours Reta was still ill.

Sarah, a marketing consultant, from Broomfield, Colorado, said: “My first thought was to reach out to Kim Kardashian, but no response yet.
“Maybe Kim will see it and come through with a solution like an edible underwear line, because, as Reta’s mom, I just can’t afford to buy Skims anymore unless they’re digestible.”
Naughty Reta has previously eaten undies — but usually throws them up.
Reta had her intestines removed after an emergency visit to the vet, and Sarah received an eyewatering $13k vet bill. Sarah Oakley / SWNSSarah said: “On Friday she was throwing up, but after 24 hours of vomiting, I knew we needed help.”
The following day, Sarah drove Reta to an emergency appointment at the vet where they scheduled surgery to remove the underwear.
Sarah said: “She is doing really good now and is at home resting.
“Reta is soaking up the attention and care.”
Sarah started a GoFundMe to help raise money for the surgery.
She has also reached out to Skims founder Kim Kardashian for help.
