Dozens of never-released photos show former President John F. Kennedy and his wife, Jackie, in their swimsuits enjoying a day at the beach on Cape Cod.
They were taken in August 1961 by Washington Post heiress Katharine Graham at the estate of Rachel “Bunny’’ Mellon and her banker husband, Paul.
“They’re amazing pictures,” Pamela Keogh, the author of “Jackie Style,’’ told People magazine.
“These were the masters of the universe in their downtime, sitting on beach chairs, smoking and eating clam chowder. Jack is not in perfect shape and Jackie’s wearing a bathing suit your mother might have worn . . . They don’t even look like they know they were being photographed.”
