This brings optical illusions to new heights.

Thought spotting all the animals in this visual menagerie was hard? Puzzlers are frazzling their noodles over this high altitude illusion, which challenges viewers to find 8 hidden objects on a mountain within 10 seconds.

[Warning: Spoilers Below]

On its face (literally), the trippy sketch depicts a closeup of an alpinist staring at the viewer while his four friends prepare to climb a mountain in the background. However, upon closer inspection, eagle-eyed illusion buffs can make out 8 objects camouflaged within the mountain-scape.

They are a candle, a heart, an umbrella, a book, a bottle, a crocodile and a feather.

Still can’t spot them? Not to worry, the illusion mavens have provided a handy answer key showing the locations of all the random items in this Himalayan scavenger hunt (below).

Only the sharpest-eyed puzzlers can spot all 8 objects within 10 seconds.

Specifically, the candle lies in the middle of the mountain, the crocodile is situated at the summit to the left of the candle and the umbrella is located at the lower right-hand corner of the base. Meanwhile, the heart, pear and feather encircle the face of the front-facing climber while the bottle is bookended by the background alpinists with two on each side of it.

Finally, if the viewer looks real closely, they can see that the last climber has a literal “book”-bag.

If that wasn’t challenging enough, take a gander at the Post’s official compendium of corneal confusers, which includes everything from literal snakes in the grass to tests that make you go colorblind.

Optical illusions such as this are often just intended as a lighthearted diversion from the stresses of modern life — but they also hold actual scientific value for medical professionals.

These brain teasers are credited with helping researchers shed light on the complex inner workings of the human mind and how it reacts to its surroundings.

Dr. Gustav Kuhn, a psychologist and human perception expert at Goldsmiths University in London, once declared to the Sun that illusions are important to our understanding of the brain: “We typically take perception for granted, and rarely think about the hard work that underpins everyday tasks, such as seeing a cup of coffee in front of you.”
