Busted!

A health care worker caught one of her patients out shopping just hours after testing positive for COVID-19.

The nurse, known on social media as @EliiCoco, took to TikTok to shame the contagious rule-breaker, who was shopping up a storm inside a Ross discount store.

In the clip, which has been viewed more than 1.7 million times, Elii does not publicly identify the patient, instead filming the woman’s shoes as she stands in line waiting to pay for her items.

“When you see the patient that you swabbed earlier who tested positive for Covid in the line at Ross,” Elii wrote in her short video.

“I told you to stay home and recover sis,” she added. She added “#covidiots” to her post.

Elii didn’t reveal whether she confronted her COVID-positive patient, or whether the woman recognized the medical professional in the store.

However, thousands of viewers flocked to the comments section beneath the video, outraged by the contagious patient’s flagrant disregard for the rules.

Currently, all COVID-positive patients must isolate for five days, or longer if their symptoms have not dissipated.

“I’ve given up on people having common sense, morals, and a conscience,” one raged.

“And this is why the pandemic will never be over,” another blasted.

Others wished that the health care worker would have publicly called out the rule-breaking patient, though they conceded that to do so would have been a violation of health privacy laws.

Meanwhile, some viewers said the patient may have fallen victim to mixed messaging from the CDC, which has come under fire for chopping and changing protocol.

“She should definitely be at home but don’t healthcare workers have to go to work even if they test positive for COVID? How does that make sense?” one questioned, referencing a recent report.

“Why should we stay home if you don’t have to?” a separate viewer snapped.

“It doesn’t even matter anymore,” another disillusioned commenter remarked.
