It’s a happy ending for this orphaned orangutan, who now has a new family to wrap her furry arms around.

Joss, a baby ape, was illegally sold to an Indonesian local who kept her as a pet.

But back in January, the International Animal Rescue saved the months-old orangutan and have been caring for her ever since, according to Barcroft Media.

When she first arrived at the rescue center in Borneo, Indonesia, Joss was displaying signs of trauma — hugging herself and banging her head on the floor.

In the months since she has been in IAR’s protection, she has shown continued signs of improvement and is now in a pre-school class with other abandoned orangutans.
