The parents of a 178-pound Brazilian boy who can’t stop eating fear their “baby” could stop breathing and die at any moment due to his rare medical condition.

Five-year-old Misael Caldogno Abreu has Prader-Willi syndrome — a rare genetic condition that causes an insatiable appetite and delayed development.

“Everything is so hard for him,” dad Manoel Abreu, 38, told Barcroft Media. “He is a baby carrying an adult’s weight.”

Misael was born a very normal 6 pounds, 6 ounces in Espirito Santo, Brazil, before going on what’s been a lifelong eating binge.

“His heart must be suffocated and working under a lot of pressure,” his dad said. “If he doesn’t get the treatment he requires, there is a very good chance he will pass away.”

There is no known cure for Prader-Willi syndrome and it affects 1 in every 10,000 to 30,000 people worldwide, according to the National Institutes of Health.
