If you wanted to get tipsy at California’s Disneyland in Anaheim, you’d need to get access to the park’s exclusive Club 33, which allegedly has a $50,000 annual membership and 10-year waiting list, reports Thrillist.
But in 2019, reports CNN, the general public will be able to drink booze at Oga’s Cantina, a bar named after an alien in the upcoming “Star Wars: Glaxy’s Edge.”
“Visitors come to this notorious local watering hole to unwind, conduct shady business and maybe even encounter a friend — or a foe,” Scott Trowbridge, portfolio creative executive at Walt Disney Imagineering, wrote in a statement.
This is the first time the general public will have access to alcohol at Disneyland, and the bar has sparked strong reactions on social media.
“The last thing I want to see is some drunk asshole stumbling around The Magic Kingdom,” wrote one user on Twitter.
But others were more supportive.
“Alcohol sales were inevitable and, frankly, long overdue,” tweeted another user. “It’s 2018 and the way we, as a culture, interact with alcohol is wildly different from 1955.”
