She’s in the spin room now.

Texas congressional candidate Wendy Davis, 56, has turned Peloton’s controversial commercial into a campaign ad for her race against Rep. Chip Roy, 47, the Republican incumbent for the state’s 21st District, north of San Antonio.

The Peloton ad — originally starring now-famous actors Monica Ruiz and Sean Hunter — unleashed a storm of mockery earlier this month, with critics calling it sexist and unhealthy. “The Gift That Gives Back” featured a slim wife receiving the $2,245-bike from her smug husband — presumably the gift that would give back an even slimmer wife.

In Davis’ version of the ad, the Democrat can be seen watching a clip of her opponent on a laptop screen, then shaping up for the run against him.

“Gotta get back into campaign shape – I’m a little bit nervous, but excited.” In a direct parallel to the scene in the Peloton ad, Davis is seen getting out of bed to hit the streets: “6 a.m., gotta go talk to voters.”

At the end of the ad, Davis quips, “A year ago, I didn’t realize how much campaigning would change me. Thank you, Chip Roy.”

A narrator wraps it with: “Next year, give Chip Roy the gift — of unemployment.”

Davis was a Texas state senator from 2009 through 2015 and famously attempted a 13-hour filibuster related to an abortion bill in the state.

She tweeted the video link Tuesday, saying, “Running for office is truly the ‘Gift That Gives Back,’ No Peloton required.”
