Call it a Rolex with a rare pie-degree.
Next Tuesday, Christie’s is auctioning off a 1989 stainless steel Air-King with an unusual touch on its dial: a Domino’s Pizza logo.
The current bid is $3,800; Christie’s estimates a hammer price of up to $5,000.
The multibillion-dollar fast-food chain has served up these watches for decades — specifically, as rewards to store managers for raking in $30,000 in weekly sales for four consecutive weeks.
The style that Christie’s will auction differs from the one now available to successful managers. Beginning in the early 2000s, the logo — which shows side-by-side dominoes — reportedly moved off the dial and onto the watch’s band.
So far, there are just four bidders for the watch.
