Forget scrambled and sunny-side up — the cool way to eat eggs is up in the air.

People on social media are obsessed with “cloud eggs”: puffed-up egg whites framing a sunny yolk.

To make the trendy dish, egg whites are whisked to a fluffy, thick consistency and placed on bread or a pan. Then the yolk is plunked in the middle and the whole thing bakes for about eight minutes.

Cloud eggs can be served plain or garnished with ham or cheese for extra flavor.

Not optional: snapping a picture of your Instagram-friendly breakfast and sharing it with the world.

“How do you take your eggs in the morning? Cloudy darling . . . cloudy . . . ,” tweeted one user.
