Is it the Easter Playboy bunny?
Easter took an X-rated turn for residents of Flagler County, Florida, who opened their mailboxes last week to find that an unknown jokester had left eggs filled with pornographic pictures.
The Flagler County Sheriff’s Department issued a “news release” Monday morning asking citizens to help it track down the rotten egg responsible for hatching the obscene prank, reports the Daytona Beach News-Journal.
According to authorities, the plastic eggs contained a random assortment of goodies, including a fish-shaped cracker, toilet paper, and a powdered drink mix along with the eggs-plicit image. And if that wasn’t sacrilegious enough, one of the scandalous snaps was clipped to a religious pamphlet.
“If anyone else receives something like this or has information on who did this, we ask that you call us immediately,” said Sheriff Rick Staley in a statement, adding that he’s looking to put the offender behind bars.
The social-media masses were also not pleased with the prank, posting replies of “wow, someone needs to get a life” and “quarantine bringing out the strange.” One Facebook Samaritan even correctly pointed out that putting stuff in people’s mailboxes is a felony, adding, “FSCO pls catch them & have them clean toilets in jail.”
Beyond being indecent, Staley says the “very sick individual” responsible “could actually be spreading COVID-19 by their actions.”
The FCSO is investigating the incidents, and is hoping people will come forward with their home’s surveillance footage catching the culprit in the eggs-rated act.
Perhaps the bona fide Easter Bunny, who was recently dubbed “an essential service provider,” can lend a paw to bag the impostor.
