The mysterious new owner of Ruschmeyer’s, the Montauk hotspot, has brought in a new chef.
Fresh fish and local produce will still be the stars under Chef Vincent Ricciardelli, along with pizzas, burgers, and casual comfort fare.
Brunch dishes won’t come cheap. They’ll include $21 scrambled eggs, with smoked salmon, leeks Sofrito, creme fraiche and toasted focaccia; and $19 granola with coconut, craisins, flax seed, pineapple jam, Greek yogurt, berries and honey.
Williamsburg-based Freehold Brooklyn will be running the brunch, music and games, hoping to capitalize on the all-day parties that have seized Montauk’s formerly sleepy beach scene at Gurney’s and Surf Lodge nearby.
There’s also a $28 burger with HP sauce and truffle rosemary fries and a $29 “Mini Main Lobster Rolls;” along with a $20 roasted market vegetables with burrata and toasted focaccia.
Brunch begins on Memorial Day weekend, following a 10 am “wellness” class — like yoga taught by different New York City studios who will be up for the weekend.
On weekends, brunch is from 11 am to 4 pm, from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Games will include ping pong, billiards, corn hole, and giant jenga.
