Most couples are obsessed with their futures, but not these two lovebirds — who relish living their lives in the past.

Kitten Von Mew and her husband, Richard, of Warwickshire, England, have dedicated their entire lives to pay tribute to the 1940s — wearing vintage clothes from the era, remodeling their home and even creating a 40s-themed pregnancy.

The 35-year-old, who legally changed her name from Michelle, has been obsessed with the era for 15 years. Every morning, Von Mew puts curlers in her hair and picks out one of her many old-school outfits.

“I love everything about the 1940s — the fashion, the music, the decor — I find it totally captivating,” she told Barcroft Media. “I’ve dedicated my life to recreating the past.”

She met Richard at the United States Services Organization, a 40s-themed convention where Von Mew performs a burlesque routine.

Von Mew fell for his Clark Gable manners and impressive mustache while 55-year-old Richard couldn’t keep his eyes off her during her sultry dance.

The two married three years ago — with their wedding throwing it back to their favorite decade.

And about a year ago, they welcomed their first child, Betsy-Rose.

“[She] already has a wardrobe to rival my own,” Von Mew said. “She will have outgrown half of her clothes before she has a chance to wear them.”

Aside from looking forward to coming home to see her daughter, Von Mew said she loves to walk through her front door and be able to escape the real world.

“My whole life is a flashback to the ’40s, but I far prefer it to the mundane modern world,” she said.
