A former teacher and football coach at a Georgia high school is accused of having sexual contact with two female students, police said.

Brad Elliott, 37, was booked on charges of sexual assault and sexual battery for encounters that occurred at Buford High School this school year, according to the Gwinnett County Police Department.

He allegedly touched on victim on the buttocks and had consensual sex with the second victim.

It’s illegal for a teacher and a student to have sexual contact at their school, even if both parties are over 16 years old, the age of consent in Georgia.

Elliot, of Waleska, recently resigned from Buford and previously worked as a teacher at Roswell High School.

He turned himself in Wednesday night and was released Thursday morning after posting $22,000 bail, according to WSB-TV.
