Cancer won’t keep this couple apart.
Mackenna Newman, 17, uploaded a photo on Twitter of her dad, Jon, sitting outside his wife Marci’s bedroom in their California home with the caption, “My mom has to stay in her room in isolation for her cancer radiation, so my dad set up a desk at her door to keep her company and I’m crying.”
Jon has been right by his wife’s side since she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in October.
Since being posted on April 14, the image has garnered more than 8,000 retweets and 11,000 likes.
“Jon goes to every doctor’s appointment, every blood test, every surgery, every radiation,” Marci told BuzzFeed News. “And, as you can see, if he can’t be by my side he is as close as he can get!”
