The saga of the homeless Texas adult expo has come to an end.
After being kicked out of two Houston hotels in the last month, the adult expo has found a home for which, perhaps, it should have been searching all along: in a gentlemen’s club near, ahem, a strip mall.
Yes, the Texxxas adult expo will take place at Cover Girls Houston — after it got turned away by a Hilton hotel and a Holiday Inn.
Both hotels had bowed to pressure from the National Center on Sexual Exploitation, which declared victory on Tuesday.
“It’s the choice I had to make to protect my sponsors,” said Texxxas organizer John Gray. The expo will take place Aug. 17-20.
“Mr. Gray’s event is right where it belongs: in a seedy strip club where the purpose of the expo — which is to leer at and sexually exploit women — cannot be denied or given a veneer of sophistication,” said Dawn Hawkins, executive director of the center.
