A California principal was placed on leave after his wife, a teacher, was busted for allegedly having a years-long affair with a student, according to reports.
Sierra Vista Charter School principal Marshall Webb was placed on administrative leave Friday — less than a week after the arrest of his wife, Angela Webb, the Fresno Bee reported.
Tulare Joint Union High School District declined to comment on why the principal’s employment status was modified.
His wife, who was a gym teacher, was also placed on leave from the school district after police received a tip June 20 about her alleged relationship.
The victim, who is a former student at Tulare Western High School, admitted to having a sexual relationship with the teacher over the course of three and a half years, according to officials.
Angela Webb was arrested July 13 and released on $250,000 bail.
The Webbs are reportedly both longtime employees in the school district.
Marshall Webb served as the dean of students at Tulare Union High School before he was appointed last month as principal at the charter school.
His wife was a physical education teacher at Tulare Union High School, and previously held the same position at Tulare Western High School.
