When it comes to conversation-starters with people in relationships, almost nothing beats asking how someone met his or her significant other.

And as Brooklyn Sherman, a 27-year-old comedian based in Los Angeles, has discovered, the question also makes for quite a popular Instagram account.

Since launching in June, @TheWayWeMet has amassed around 136,000 followers, proving that the only thing people love more than each other is . . . love itself. In an interview with today.com, Sherman said she’s receiving hundreds of submissions from couples eager to share their stories.

Though she doesn’t have any strict criteria for those wanting to be considered (you can submit here), she has tried to avoid posting stories from couples who met online — so hopeless romantics can believe that love can happen to us offline, too.
