But which variety is most lust-inducing? Pearl — a new app that gathers user data on oyster taste and aphrodisiac effect — reports that Kusshi, a bivalve from British Columbia, scores highest for passion potential.

So will a half dozen get you hot?

Craig Koketsu, a chef at Midtown’s Quality Meats (which offers Kusshi), puts it this way: “Eating oysters is more sensual than eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.”
