It didn’t take long before Will, a 25-year-old producer for a digital interactive agency, hit it off with Taylor, a 21-year-old NYU student. Over dinner at the Hog Pit in Chelsea, the two blind date skeptics felt an instant physical attraction before bonding over everything from tattoos to their passion for New York. The couple practically closed down the restaurant before taking their date to an undisclosed destination. Looks like where there’s a Will there’s definitely a way.

He said:

Going on a blind date is always interesting. As soon as I met Taylor, though, I could tell it was going to be a good time. She’s really cute. We ordered drinks, a little bit of food, then more drinks and the date took off from there. We talked about all the typical first-date topics and found we had a lot in common.

It wasn’t until the photographer showed up to take our picture that I realized just how much fun we were having! Taylor is not camera shy, which I liked. It’s great to be with a girl who can ham it up. Taylor also passed my music test. Because I’m such a big music fan, I wanted to know what she likes, and there’s no better test than to hit the jukebox. After her picks of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Rolling Stones and Tracy Chapman, I’d say she passed with flying colors. Even with that Third Eye Blind pick.

After dinner, we decided to head to another bar where we continued having a great time. I’d definitely go on another date with Taylor.

She said:

I’ve never been a big fan of blind dates; I usually find them awkward and intimidating. But with Will things were different. Within minutes of sitting down, I noticed how cute and charming he was. He had an endearing smile and an upbeat attitude that immediately put me at ease. We started off the night with a round of drinks and appetizers, and soon discovered that we had a lot of similar interests: a love of travel, a fascination with tattoos and a passion for cheese. But most of all I was impressed by his can-do attitude. He loves to explore the city and is constantly looking for new projects to take on, which I find very attractive. He’s also not afraid to be goofy — a huge plus. We traded embarrassing first-date stories and laughed a lot, especially when the photographer showed up. I liked how willing he was to have fun with me in front of the camera.

Five hours later, we decided to continue the date at a bar nearby. After a few more drinks, Will, like a gentleman, walked me home. We exchanged numbers and talked about going out again. I think we both had a great time.
