Holy smokes!

A straphanger who decided to light up on a bus had his smoking break cut short when he got in a scuffle with another commuter.

The altercation — which was captured in a viral video posted Wednesday to Facebook — involved an elderly man taking a drag of his cigarette before the irritated rider manhandles him from his seat.

Without any words exchanged, the smoking passenger was dragged through the aisle, off the bus and left on the pavement.

Though it’s unclear where the incident was filmed, the footage created a stir on the Humans of Bankstown Facebook page for residents of the Australian suburb.

“To everyone who laughed at this old man being dragged like an animal, I’m pretty sure if that was your grandpa you will be outraged and going crazy in comments section!” the user wrote. “The man broke the law and only government officers can enforce the law and definitely not like that coward who dragged the old man!”

Others applauded the punishment for smoking on the bus.

“Not very nice but grandpa asked for it,” another user wrote on Facebook.
