A Florida teen with cerebral palsy didn’t let his condition get in the way of walking across the graduation stage and receiving his high school diploma, a report said Monday.

The crowd of attendees at the Jacksonville graduation ceremony roared as Jericho Burroughs walked across the stage on May 30, a local Fox affiliate reported.

Burroughs was helped by two faculty members at Edward H. White HS, who held both of his arms and walked with him down the stage, video of the commencement shows.

Graduating high school is just one of the many accomplishments 18-year-old Burroughs has achieved despite his condition.

Burroughs has competed in track and field and won several awards for his singing. He was also crowned prom king, Fox 35 reported.

His mother told the news station that she raised him to be “resilient and never allow anyone or anything to stop or break him.”

“He is very independent and I look forward to what his next adventure holds,” she added.
