A 20-year-old from Montreal says he’s been taking selfies before it was cool.

Youtube user Hugo Cornellier has been documenting his aging since age 12 by taking selfies every day — and has the eight years of pictures to prove it.

The 2-minute time-lapse video is a memorizing compilation of nearly 3,000 self-portraits. Throughout each of the photos, Cornellier maintains an expressionless face as he grows from a baby-faced preteen to a bearded adult.

The whole project is “ongoing,” Cornellier wrote.
